Steve Morrison is the former Chief Executive of Granada plc.
Steve's career began as a Radio producer with BBC Scotland. In 1974 he joined Granada where he founded Granada Film (1985) and held a number of senior positions including director of programmes Granada Television (1987), managing director Granada Television (1993) and managing director LWT (1994). He was pivotal to Granada's strategy of acquiring ITV's major producer-broadcasters; LWT, Yorkshire and United.
In 1996, Steve was appointed Chief Executive of Granada Media before becoming the Chief Executive in the IPO and finally the Chief Executive of Granada plc in 2001.
Steve's credits include World in Action (RTS Award), 28-Up (BAFTA), My Left Foot (2 Oscars), The Field (Oscar nominated) and Jack and Sarah.
