Lime Pictures is based in Liverpool and is one of the UK’s biggest independent drama producers. Formerly Mersey Television, Lime Pictures changed its name in 2006. The company was purchased in 2005 by All3Media and is run by the local management team which includes Carolyn Reynolds (Chief Executive), Sean Marley (Managing Director) and Tony Wood (Creative Director).

Initially founded by Phil Redmond, the Company was formed to produce Brookside in 1982 for Channel 4 followed by Hollyoaks airing in 1995 also for Channel 4.

The long running youth drama, Hollyoaks, was initially on screen just once a week. It has been one of Channel 4’s leading shows ever since, increasing its episode count to five per week in 2003.

In 2002, the BBC contracted out the production of Grange Hill and the first series made in Liverpool aired in 2003 until its final series and 30th Anniversary in 2008.

Alongside its core base recurring drama series, Lime Pictures has expanded and now has a strong reputation of producing dramas such as Apparitions (BBC), Bonkers (ITV), The Outsiders (ITV) and Living on the Edge (MTV).

As part of the Lime Pictures Group, Conker Media produces content for emerging digital platforms and is a leader in its field. Under Lee Hardman (Director of Digital Content) the team controls the Hollyoaks digital project and have developed a number of unique content models across television, online, broadband internet and mobile platforms.
